MADRID, April 17-- Real Madrid and FC Barcelona drew 1-1 in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday night in a result that virtually guarantees Barcelona the league title. Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both scored penalties in a game in which Barcelona enjoyed 70 percent of the ball and be disappointed not to win after Raul Albiol was sent off for Real Madrid early in the second half. Both sides could have won the game in a frantic last 10 minutes, but both Real Madrid's Sami Khedira and Barcelona's David Villa wasted good scoring chances. Elsewhere Valencia strengthened their grip on third place and an automatic qualification for the group stage of next season's Champions League thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win in Almeria. Roberto Soldado's seventh goal in three games broke the deadlock after 50 minutes and further goals from Marius Stankevicius and Jordi Alba sealed what turned into an easy three points. Almeria were destined for relegation to the second division after three seasons in the top flight.
