BEIJING, Feb. 1-- In recent days, many leaders of international organizations have spoken positively of and supported China's efforts to battle the novel coronavirus outbreak through various means. International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach said he fully supports, highly appreciates and respects the efforts made by the Chinese people, adding that the Chinese people are fighting the epidemic in a proactive and orderly way. Shanghai Cooperation Organization General Secretary Vladimir Norov commended the Chinese government for taking decisive and effective measures, especially its openness and transparency in releasing information about the epidemic, adding that it not only reflects China's high sense of responsibility for the lives and health of its own people, but contributes greatly to the development of public health in the region and the world.
