Today everybody is talking about the Chinese Dream. I believe the greatest dream of the Chinese nation in modern history is the great renewal of the Chinese nation. 【背景】2017年11月，习近平在参观“复兴之路”展览时，第一次全面阐释了“中国梦”的概念。 中国梦的目标是实现中华名族的伟大复兴(great renewal of the Chinese nation)。中国梦就是要实现国家富强(a prosperous and strong country)、民族振兴(rejuvenation of the nation)、人民幸福(well-being of the people)。习近平称，中国梦归根到底是人民的梦(the dream of the people)，必须紧紧依靠人民(depending on the people)来实现，必须不断为人民造福(instantly bring benefits to the people)。习近平坚信，到中国共产党成立100年时全面建成小康社会(building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects)的目标一定能实现，到新中国成立100年时建成富强、民主、文明、和谐的社会主义现代化国家(turning China into a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced and harmonious)的目标一定能实现。 |
