近日，共青团中央书记处常务书记贺军科在国务院资讯办举行的《中长期青年发展规划(2016～2025年)》有关情况发布会上表示，大龄未婚是中国青年迫切关注的重大问题，需要共青团、青联、学联等青年组织下功夫为青年营造环境、创造机会。 这个消息不但在国内社交媒体上引发热议，连外媒都关注了。美国外交学者（The Diplomat）网站就做了如下报道： 外交学者（The Diplomat）网站报道截图 In a press conference on May 17, He Junke, the head of China’s Communist Youth League, announced that youth organizations would help youth to solve the problem of dating and marriage, since “the singles in old age” is a major concern for Chinese youths. 共青团中央书记处常务书记贺军科在5月17日的发布会上表示，大龄未婚是中国青年迫切关注的重大问题，各类青年组织将帮助年轻人解决婚恋问题。 对于“大龄未婚青年”这个说法，报道中使用的是“the singles in old age”，第一眼看到这个old age就有一种“单身到老”的感觉。其实，所谓的“大龄未婚青年”就是已经过了社会上的平均初婚年龄、依然没有结婚的青年，所以，我们可以用更负责任一点的英文来表达：people who are single and above the median age of first marriage。 最近这些年，“大龄未婚青年”一直都是人们热议的话题，而出现了各种各样的称呼，比如，前几年引发热议的“剩男剩女”（left-over men and women）、“必剩客”（doomed single）、人人喜欢的钻石王老五（golden bachelor）、平庸普通的光棍汉（bachelor），等等。 |
