KUWAIT CITY, Oct. 27-- Preventive diplomacy helps stop the eruption of disputes and conflicts, and enhance dialogue and mediation amongst countries, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's deputy prime minister and foreign minister, said on Sunday. He made the remarks at a ceremony held by the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Representative and Resident Coordinator to Kuwait Tareq Al-Sheikh in Hawalli Governorate. Since attaining membership of the UN in 1963, Kuwait has been keen on partaking effectively in the UN's activities and events, the minister said. |
