The United States and Canada will co-host a 16-nation summit next month in Canada in a show of solidarity against the escalating threat posed by North Korea's nuclear program. U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his Canadian counterpart, Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, announced Tuesday the meeting will be held January 16 in Vancouver. Tillerson and Freeland made the announcement after holding talks in the Canadian capital, Ottawa. Tillerson said the summit is aimed at advancing "the global pressure campaign" on Pyongyang, which has accelerated tests of its nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities.
