UNITED NATIONS, Feb. 20-- United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday reiterated UN's commitment to supporting the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. "I am here to reiterate my full personal commitment, and the commitment of the United Nations, to supporting the parties in their efforts to achieve a two-state solution," he said while addressing a UN Security Council meeting on the Middle East. The UN chief expressed the hope that the solution would result in "two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace within secure and recognized borders." |
