BUENOS AIRES, April 1-- Pablo Perez scored in second-half injury time as Boca Juniors edged closer to the Superliga Argentina title with a 2-1 victory over second-placed Talleres de Cordoba. Boca striker Walter Bou prodded in the opener at the Bombonera stadium after a mazy run and cross by Cristian Pavon. Carlos Quintana equalized on the stroke of halftime by nodding in after Junior Arias met Lucas Olaza's floating free-kick with a flicked header. It took until the 92nd minute for Boca to break the deadlock as Perez thumped a volley past goalkeeper Guido Herrera following Ramon Abila's cross. The result left Boca nine points clear of Talleres, with third-placed San Lorenzo two points further back. |
