RABAT, May 20-- Thousands of Moroccans marched Sunday in the city of Casablanca to protest the killing of Palestinians by Israeli troops on the Gaza border. In the march, dominated by Islamist and left-wing parties, protesters called for holding Israel fully accountable for the grave atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territory. They vowed support to "the Great March of Return" which has been taking place in the besieged Gaza Strip since March 30, with thousands of Palestinians gathering near the Gaza border with Israel to demand their right of return to the villages and towns from which they were expelled in 1948. |
