BEIJING, Oct. 30-- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Tuesday called for more efforts to maintain the security and stability of society. Guo Shengkun, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Commission for the Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when chairing a meeting. He demanded greater efforts to promote work on anti-terrorism, crack down on gang crime and find resolutions to social conflicts in order to improve the people's sense of security. He also demanded the implementation of the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee to deepen the judicial reform. |
