9月3日，我国将举行盛大的阅兵式，纪念中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年。庄严的天安门广场，一次次见证人民军队的阔步跨越。从1949年到2009年，新中国已经在这里举行了14次国庆阅兵。 There have been 14 military parades in the history of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Eleven occurred between 1949 and 1959 during the era of Mao Zedong, PRC's founder. The following three Chinese leaders - Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao - each presided over one military parade. 中华人民共和国历史上共举行过14次阅兵。开国领袖毛泽东时代的1949至1959年有11次，后来的三代领导人——邓小平、江泽民和胡锦涛——也分别主持过一次阅兵。 The last such parade was in 2009, marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. The two before that were in 1999 (50th anniversary) and 1984 (35th anniversary).
