It's well known that foods high in sugar and salt are dangerous for the waistline, but they could also be ageing your body much faster than you realise.

众所周知,吃高糖类和高盐类食物会有发胖的危险,但是这类食物加速身体老化的程度可能会比你所意识到的要厉害得多。

A number of foods have been identified that speed up the body's ageing process, each having elements that place stress on the body, causing cell damage and physical signs of ageing.

经证实大量食物都会加速人体的衰老进程,这些食物都含有对身体造成压力的成分,导致细胞损伤并加速身体老化进程。

Susie Burrell, an Australian dietitian and founder of Shape Me, says there are qualities in some foods that make them more likely to contribute to ageing cells in the long term.

澳大利亚“塑造我(Shape Me)”创始人兼营养师苏茜·伯勒尔说,有些食物长期食用有加速细胞老化的作用。

'As a general rule of thumb, dietary patterns with a high glycaemic load increase inflammatory processes in the body over time, while diets high in salt result in fluid retention, swelling and increase pressure on a number of the bodys systems,' Ms Burrell told Daily Mail Australia.

“一般经验,血糖负荷高的饮食模式长期下来会增加体内炎症过程,而高盐饮食导致液体潴留、肿胀、增加身体系统压力,”澳大利亚博瑞尔女士对《每日邮报》说。
