"Game of Thrones" showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff have said that they envision their HBO series ending after seven seasons. But Weiss and Benioff don't necessarily agree, saying their main focus is on giving the series a proper, satisfying ending, regardless of how many seasons that requires. “We want to go out on our absolute highest note,” Weiss said. Benioff added, “We know basically how many hours are left in this story. We don’t want to add 10 hours to that.
