俄罗斯首都莫斯科将于今年年底在街头安装最新研制的“反恐”公厕，届时占据街头大量空间的旧式塑料公厕将被取代。据介绍，这种新型公厕的定位是“自主、美观、反恐”，其外部材质使用碳纤维增强型混凝土，内部隔间则使用钢筋和增强塑料的混合材料，能够承受一枚炸弹爆炸产生的冲击强度。每人每次使用该公厕的时间最长为30分钟，到达时间限制后公厕门就会自动打开，并且发出警报。另外，公厕内的温度常年保持在16摄氏度以上，在俄罗斯寒冷的冬天如厕也不会觉得冷。 Moscow is to be equipped with terrorist-proof public lavatories that are strong enough to contain a bomb blast. The introduction of the state-of-the-art WCs follows a spate of Islamist terror attacks on the Russian capital over the years. In the last major attack, in January, a suicide bomber struck Moscow’s busiest airport killing 37 people. “This lavatory can function on its own and is vandal and terrorist-proof,” said Anatoly Ashikhmin, an official involved in the project. The new lavatories’ shells will be made from ultra-strong fibrous concrete, while fittings inside will be hewn from a mixture of steel and reinforced plastic. Due to be pressed into service before the end of the year, members of the public will be allowed to spend a maximum of thirty minutes inside before the door opens automatically and an alarm sounds. |
