It had been 2 days and I was in a supermarket searching for basic food stuffs. Everything was in Chinese and hardly anybody understood what I was trying to ask. I was almost on the verge of crying because I realized these 3 months were going to be very tough. 三个月前我到中国参与一个交换生项目，到那里已经两天了，我在一家超市找些基本的食物之类的东西，可是所有东西都是用中文标明，而且几乎没有人听懂我努力问出的问题。我几乎要哭出来了，因为我意识到这三个月会非常难熬。 Then, a man approached me and tried to ask using hand gestures if everything was okay. I asked him where I could find ketchup. He didn't know English. But, he realized my dilemma and called his daughter from his cellphone. She talked to me in English and asked me what I needed. She then translated that back to her father and he took me to the section. 然后有个男人走过来，努力用肢体语言问我有什么事。我问他哪里有番茄酱，他不懂英语，但是他明白我的艰难处境，打电话给他女儿。她和我用英语交谈，问我需要什么，然后她翻译给她父亲，接着他就带我到相应区域。 |
