BEIJING, Jan. 25-- The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on Friday held a meeting to review a report on the work of several organs and some Party regulations. The meeting was held to review a comprehensive report on the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee hearing and studying reports from leading Party members' groups of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, as well as the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting. The meeting also reviewed the CPC Central Committee's opinions on strengthening the Party's political work, and two regulations on the reporting of major issues and selection of Party and government officials. |
