Hmmmm...So you're in love... Or you might be looking for a soul mate. Let's talk about love today! Interested? I hope so! I have chosen this subject because I know that most of the readers are young people on this platform and when we're young, we tend to fall in love multiple times during this age. I am going to share a couple of my personal experiences when I tasted this fruit and I hope you'll enjoy reading it. Of course we will learn some new English expressions and phrases along the way as this is our main purpose. So fasten you seat belts and get ready to take a journey into the magical and mysterious world of LOVE! Interestingly, I had fallen in love at first sight with my English teacher when I was only in grade seven. Alas! It was only one-sided crush! It never blossomed but withered in a couple of weeks.(Poor me!). I got a crush on my teacher! When you get a crush on someone, your emotions are intense, powerful and crazy....but it doesn't last for long. It's a quick rush of powerful feelings toward somebody for a short time. Love at first sight is a phenomenon that occurs when you look at the opposite sex and think to yourself, " Wow!...She's stunningly gorgeous!" Love at first sight can be for a short time or a long period of time, may be for life time but a crush is always a short term emotion. We get crushes on people many times in life( but only we know it!). Have you got a crush on someone lately? I personally believe that either you are in love or you are not in love with a particular person or you may be in a process of knowing and understanding each other. English language offers a variety of words i.e. deep love, first love, true love( Is there a false love??), secret love, head over heals in love, madly in love, and platonic love( never knew what that means though). Anyway, whatever kind of love you're in, you've got to be expressive because love demands lots of 'rituals' from kind words to actions and stuff you know. |
