美文赏析 The plane arrived at the airport safely very early in the morning.Seattle，one of the best American cities，lay before me. After 11 hours' flying over the Pacific，I landed in the magnificent city with a huge suitcase.A fresh and cool breeze② greeted me with its soft touch.On a big wall at Seattle airport a sign said hello in a total of 10 different languages.It was all very exciting! I was then taken to a beautiful university where I would take a 10day training course. At first glance，I was deeply impressed by what I saw.Boundless③ green grass spread before me，with wild flowers blossoming all around.Small but exquisite⑤ school buildings hid behind big trees.Narrow pebble paths twisted within the grass.Kids were playing games happily，with their parents while the whole family enjoyed the Seattle sunshine... It was like being in an oil painting.The setting was perfect and everyone was smiley and friendly，which made me feel great. There were no walls around the university.“Shouldn't the campus have walls or anything to keep it safe？”I asked my teacher.She laughed and said：“No.The campus is open for all and people can come and have a picnic at any time they like.” It was not until then that it dawned⑥ on me：there were so many people around because children had come with their parents or grandparents.After all the university offered everything they needed，an open area to play around in and great food to enjoy.Watching their lovely faces under the warm sunshine，I felt that arriving here was the best opportunity I'd ever had. |
