Cloze Test A I remember the day a few years ago when my 4-year-old daughter’s eyes sparkled (闪烁) as she saw me sit down in her classroom. I was spending that morning in her school, because all the moms had been 1 for a Mother’s Day celebration with their kids. She could 2 believe that I was actually there with her. She waved to me vigorously (用力地) and couldn’t 3 her excitement. She showed me the corner where she loves to sit down to 4 . “Strange Dog!” she screamed as she 5 me her favorite book. Even her teacher was 6 , “Is that Yasmeen? I’ve never heard her speak so loudly!” The soft-spoken, 7 little girl in school had transformed into the loud and joyful one 8 as she was at home. We read books and played games. It felt like we were in our own room, and so many 9 and hugs we had. When the celebration ended, she was 10 to let me go. After I 11 I would return again she ran up to me with open 12 for the warmest hug I had ever received. What a beautiful moment! |
