Message on the International Human Solidarity Day 国际人类团结日致辞 20 December 2016 2016年12月20日 The world has achieved significant progress in human development over the past two decades. The global poverty rate fell by more than half. People are living longer and healthier lives, and are better educated. 在过去二十年里，全世界在人类发展方面取得了长足进展。全球贫穷率减半，人民寿命增长，健康状况改善，教育程度提高，相互联系更密切。 Despite these and other advances, prosperity has not been shared by all. Inequalities, extreme poverty, unemployment, social exclusion and environmental degradation continue to be prominent features of societies around the world. Discrimination and prejudice remain major barriers to building inclusive societies. Many vulnerable social groups find their situation worsening.
