Message on World Soil Day 世界土壤日致辞 5 December 2016 2016年12月5日 In a modern world where the population is growing, cities are expanding, the climate is changing and more food is needed, we urgently need healthy soils to ensure the essential services they provide. 在当今世界，人口在增长，城市在扩张，气候在变化，人们需要更多的食物，因此我们迫切需要健康的土壤，以确保其能够提供基本服务。 Sustainable management systems and practices will unlock the full potential of soils to support food production, store and supply clean water, preserve biodiversity, sequester more carbon and increase resilience to a changing climate. 可持续管理体系和做法将释放土壤的全部潜力，以支持粮食生产，储存和供应清洁的水，保护生物多样性，固化更多的碳，并提高对气候变化的抵御能力。 Sustainable soil management will also advance progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change.
