分享一些口语考试中的形容词翻译方法。 4，the+形容词最高级，有时会包含让步的意义，可译为“哪怕是”“即使”如： The shortest cut would take us 30 minutes to get there. 去那里即使是走捷径也要花30 分钟。 The greatest influential will die. 即使是最有影响力的人物也终有一天会死亡。 5，the more…the more…译为“越…越…”,这个句式的难点不在英译汉而是在汉译英上，请看如下例句(选自《张培基英译现代散文选》) ①一个人年龄越大，走过的地方当过的职务越多，相识的人理该越增加了。 The older one gets, the more widely traveled one is and the more work experience one has, the more acquaintances one is supposed to have ②愈是颜色艳丽的花愈缺少芬芳。 The showier the flowers are, the less sweetness they have. ③因为越是有年纪的人，他的学识经验也就越丰富，大事业正需要这种人撑持。 Because the older one is, the more knowledgeable and experienced he is and therefore the more indispensable he is to a great cause. 以上三例都是比较复杂的the more 结构，这个句式用起来有些绕，需要我们多加练习,下面来看the more ,the more的在英译汉中的几种变体： |
