Once upon a time a psychology professor walked around on a stage while teaching stress managementprinciples to an auditorium filled with students.

曾经,有一位心理学教授在讲台上来回走着,向满席的学生传授压力管理原则。

As she raised a glass of water, with a smile on her face, the professor asked, “How heavy is this glass of water Im holding?”

当她举起一杯水,笑着问:“我举着的这杯水有多重?”

Students shouted out answers ranging from eight ounces to a couple pounds.

从八盎司到几磅,学生们大声地喊出答案。

She replied, “From my perspective, the absolute weight of this glass doesnt matter. In each case, the weight of the glass doesnt change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it feels to me.”

她回答道:“在我看来,这杯水的绝对重量不重要。在各种情况里,这杯水的重量都没变,但是我举得越久,我就觉得越重。”

As the class shook their heads in agreement, she continued, “Your stresses and worries in life are very much like this glass of water.”

当全班晃头表示同意时,她继续说道:“你们在生活中的压力和担忧就非常像这杯水。”

Its important to remember to let go of your stresses and worries. No matter what happens during the day, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down.
