2016年3月, 新 SAT 语法以崭新的形式(Writing and Language Test， 即写作语言测试)出现在 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 这部分里。要求考生在以段落为语境的基础上，不仅从文章的发展结构方面修改，而且从以书面英语为标准审查段落的语言方面修改。
