Many welcome the new law since a significant part of all deaths are smoking related. First, to ban smoking is a long term goal which should be achieved step by step. During the process, education rather than enforcement(强制执行) is likely to be the key to its success. Second, such a strict ban is in fact unnecessary in places where smoking and none-smoking areas are already separate. Most people will obey the rules in this case. Third, when smoking is made illegal in many public places, some smokers just avoid going to those places as they can. As a result, the business in these places is affect. |
