Words are used to form patterns of English grammar and syntax. Each word falls into one of eight categories referred to as parts of speech. Here are the eight commonly recognized parts of speech. 英语的语法和句法中也会形成词的类型。每个词都会被归为八类中的一类，这里我们要讲的就是英语中八类最常见的词性。 Certain words have further categorization such as: adverbs offrequency: always, sometimes, often, etc. or determiners: this, that, these, those .
